in Tibor Sceczko´s book about the 1. REC is a photo of the drapeau/cravate which shows a red-green fourragere for the 2nd WW.

I also know collections of the 1. REC of indochine and for example this photo of the 13 DBLE http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6a/LTN_-_13DBLE_-_1942.jpg , the red-green fourragere was wron in the legion.



When and why was this changed into the green-red fourragere CdG1914 avec olive CdG1939?

Hi everyone,

Indeed it could have existed a fourragère which had colors like 39-45 cross. But very quickly it has been decided to keep only one fourragère for the both WW, and make a difference by adjunction of "glands" with specific color for each WW.

the 1. REC wears the fourragere TOE, because of three palmes during Indochine.

They received the fourth palme for the CdG TOE 1991 during Gulf War.



Usually a fourth citation/palme means fourragere MM, but these four palmes wasn´t won within one war, so they didn´t get the fourragere MM.



Well, what would have happened in case of receiving a second palme in Gulf War?



Would they wear two fourragere TOE, one for three palmes in Indochine and one for two palmes in Gulf War?



They would have five palmes, but not won within one war, so they do not get the fourragere MM, same procedure as described in my second sentence.
