Just noticed these two photos of Congo mercenaries of the late 69's in internet. Naturally recogniced other insignias but become courious about the rank insignias.
Is Denard wearing Belgian or Congolese rank insignias? What about the two other (French) soldiers?

I believe that Belgian shoulderboards were common among those soldiers, but does anyone have original mercenary items in collection for us to see?
Like 5 COMMANDO, Wild Geese patch, Commando Kansimba etc.
