Hi every reader !

I found in one of my boxes a medal which looks "golden", but where gold has gone ... it looks aluminium !

On a side it shows H.M. EDWARD VII King . H.M. ALEXANDRA Queen // Proclaimed 1901.

On the reverse : two coats of arms with King's crown, two hands shaking, pennant "GOD SAVE THE KING" text : EDWARD VII King of Great Britain & colonies across the sea & Emperor of INDIA CROWNED 1902 . and between the hands and the pennant we see : RD 355487 .

My question is : is it an official medal or medal of theatre or for child ?

If it is an official how is the ribbon ?

I'm sorry, but the "gold" seems to have disappeared as I cleaned the medal before to photography it !
The real diameter is : 36 mm

It looks like some sort of coronation medal, but rather copy than original,

This is not the official 1902 Coronation Medal. Probably a memento medal as sold to the public. This was quite a tradition which persists on occasions.
