| Bonjour a tous , I noticed a picture in KB magazine of a c/c wearing a medal ribbon unknown to me. It is the last one in this picture (single ribbon in the last row). Can anyone please tell me which medal is this ribbon for? Sorry for the quality of my scan. The other unidentified ribbon is as well in the last row in this picture (single)? Cordialement, Harri. |

| Merci Mepps and DNA12 for help. The last ribbon looks like Djiboutian June -77 ribbon now that you mentioned. Hadn't even heard of such American medal before. How come a French soldier has earned it and where, in Europe with NATO occasions or where? Amicalement, Harri. |

| Hi, I confirm that the first medal is known has "ordre du 27 juin". It's the date of the djiboutian independance. This order is the second most important like the french "ordre du mérite". Let have a look of this medal : http://semon.fr/DECORATIONS_TADJOURAH.htm Regards Loufiat Baille |

| Harri, I apologize for my fisrt answer but it's not at all about the medal on June 27 but a Medal of centrafrique : ORDRE de la RECONNAISSANCE CENTRAFRICAINE Created May 21, 1962, to reward individual merit rendered to the country. Regards Loufiat Baille |

Hi.
Sorry, but i do not think it is. The bars doesn´t fit exactly.
If you compare, there is a white bar at the left edge and a white bar right, near the edge. http://www.medailles-officielles.com/reconnaissance-centrafricaine,244,4.html Michael |

| According to the Fourragere it is an CCH of the 2. REI. Looking on the shoulder, it could be four 5-years-service-stripes below the chevron.
I do not think it is a difficulty to find this guy in the barracks.
From which KB is this picture? How old is it, can you tell me, perhaps the CCh is still serving.
I know a 2class in Nimes, I can ask him. |
