| Hi,
I see the commandeur of Nichan Iftikar (Tunisia) and a commandeur of Nichan el anouar (I think) (Djibouti)
I can see too a chevallier of Legion d'honneur and a Médaille colonial (blue ribbon) I don't recognize he last three medals.
The penultimate make me think at the Order of Merite Agricole
Regards
Jean-Phy |

Five medals & orders (left to right side):

| Bonjour and thanks to Mazel and Jean-Phy for identifying those medals. Is there any particular meaning with the embroidery on the sleeve of the thobe, rank for example or is it just typical Tunisian culture thing? Cordialement, Harri. |

| Hi Harry,
Sure, it's not common thobe... but i'am not specialist of maghrebian clothes. I just see another "tunisian" details under the left arm ! The big sash badge of Nishan iftikar. It is red when it should be green.
Certainly, it is well tunisian. Perhaps the "caïd" of a tribe of Tunisia ?
scly,
MaZeL |

| Thank you Mazel for your answer. I just do not know anything about tribal embroideries of AFN, so wondered if there was any meaning known by you or any other member of the Forum. Cordialement, Harri. |
