Hello Everyone,

My name is James Hoard and this is my first posting to the group.

Please excuse my writing in English. Alas, I can read and understand a bit of French but my writing skills are awful. So please forgive me.

My main interest here is in French colonial orders, decorations and medals, especially from the protectorates of Indo-China and the former independent kingdom of Madagascar. However, I also have a general interest in non-European decorations of all kinds.

I live in Surrey in England but will be moving to Australia for the about five years. So hopefully some frequent stopovers in South-East Asia to break the long journey, buy orders and medals, while travelling back and forth.
