On the left is an issue one. In the middle is an improved issue one that has been silver plated, on the right is one made by a jeweller. It is a bit smaller and does not look like a cheap keyring (like the one on the left)

there is one "Normal one" the other two I made or had made.

I did not like the chrome issue one and so I took of the gold coloured bit, polished off the chrome and took off the sharp edges. This was used to make a mold for the solid silver one (which became a bit smaller in the drying process).

I did not like the large, chrome horror... I prefer the smaller silver one.

Hi everybody and especially to Chris for good explation and showing us a "one of a kind" medal.
As you seem to know about this matter I have to re-phrase one of my main questions about the subject. Did the French soldiers receive any other foreign medals from their participation to this war than the Saudi and Koweitian versions of Liberation of Koweit medal and few US Bronze Stars mentioned previously?

By the way I just found out that the Saudi government ordered some 770 000 Koweit Liberation medals and they were produced by Spinks & Son in London and Huguenin in Swizerland, about ½ of each. Later on some countries started their own productions like US and also Eekelers-Centini in Belgium, mainly commersial moves.
