Bonjour a tous ,

Can anyone explain to me what actually are the Gervasi and Pugh insignias and what is their status among French collectors.
I have undestood that some hate them and some, like me, have the temptation buying them (I only have bought Legion related items, and they have a lot for 2e REP)
if the price is right. Unfortunately some dealers have very high prices for them.
Are they manufactured in USA or France?

I think they are US copies. Other members might confirm my opinion.

Thaks jipe for comment but I do not think they can be called copies as there are more own G/et/P designs than imitations of existing originals.

these insignias are not copies but "cinderella" made from any kind of documents : real pieces , stickers , drawings on books etc.
for the 2e REP they are very numerous and onerous , every one is free to collect them keeping in mind they have never see the sun of Calvi but I think new collectors could invest a lot for nothing, the best is to keep your money for old and true insignias
they are also cloth patches for REP' Coys never worn on sport dress but maybe on personal clothes or packs , these ones I keep them ... but only for the fun !

About the coy cloth insignias: Do they come from the same source, i.e. manufactured by G/et/P?

as far as I know the cloth Coys are French made (maitre-tailleur d'Aubagne ? as the cloth patch bullion for 1er BEP I buy some weeks ago)
